Join us for a full day of workshops exploring the medicinal and healing properties of mushrooms. We will cover the basics of medicinal mushrooms as well as dive into some special interest topics such as cooking with mushrooms, nootropic mushrooms and mental health support, cancer and Alzheimer's research, and psychoactive mushrooms in modern medicine. You will leave with recipes, DIY remedies, and lots of resources.

Some mushrooms we will discuss in detail include Lion's Mane, Turkey Tail, Reishi, Shiitake, Oysters, Chaga, Psilocybe cubensis, Fly Agaric (Amanita muscaria) and more!

Learn about medicinal mushrooms for general health and wellness. We'll cover DIY preparations, immune system support, and other foundational information.

Don't like the taste or texture of mushrooms? Not a problem! Learn cooking and storage tips plus new ways to add mushrooms to your food and beverages.

Your Brain on Mushrooms

Learn about the top medicinal mushrooms for brain health + where to find them. We'll discuss neurogenesis, nootropic mushrooms, and Alzheimer's research.

Shiitake Happens: Fungi Can Help

Learn about mushroom research and medicinal protocols related to specific health conditions and concerns, including cancer recovery studies.

Psychoactive Mushrooms Past & Present​

This lecture will offer an overview of both Amanita muscaria and Psilocybe cubensis, comparing them and discussing the historical significances of each in spiritual wellness practices and folk medicine traditions. There will also be information about modern research, clinical trials, microdosing and psychedelic-assisted wellness and recovery.

Michelle is the founder and director of The Midsouth Women's Herbal Conference. She is a doctorate-level Transpersonal Counselor, Certified Eco-Therapy Guide, and a Board-Certified Holistic Health Practitioner who incorporates medicinal mushrooms and herbs into her private practice. She is also a Trauma-Informed Sacred Medicine Guide who provides psychedelic harm-reduction (trip sitting) services and Integration Counseling. Michelle provides counseling and offers retreats through her private practice, The Cavewoman Way. We reserve the right to cancel this event if a minimum number of 20 people are not registered by August 1, 2024. If this happens, you will be notified via email and you will receive a full refund. 

 

Summit registration includes access to workshops, parking, and complimentary herbal tea. 

 

Registrations are final and non-refundable unless the event is fully cancelled by the host. 

​

In the unlikely event of a public health crisis or unexpected emergency, the host reserves the right to shift this summit to a virtual platform. If this happens, all participants will receive access to live webinars and recordings of all workshops. Summit registration fees will not be refunded if a virtual event is possible.

​

The 2024 Medicinal Mushrooms Summit is open to all individuals ages 16+. All attendees must register in advance through the Midsouth Women's Herbal website.

​

Lunch is not included, however can be added for an additional fee. Attendees are â€‹also welcome to bring their own food or snacks.
